WEEK 6: CONECTIONS

Hi Bea,

How is it going?  Is everything ok? What have you done this week at university? I have been trying to improve my English this week, because if I want to pass this year, I need it a lot.
I talked with my teacher for some advice and the first thing she told me was to study out loud because we need to hear ourselves for knowing how our pronunciation is. So, I have been doing it all the time, I have been even thinking out loud and in English, and in my opinion, it really helps. Also, I have realised that my cousin is living in Britain, so I have called him, and we have been talking every day, the only disadvantage is that sometimes we cut off.

Another tip I have heard is to watch film or series in English because it will help us to understand it better and I have proposed myself that everything I will watch from now on will be in English. And what I am doing is listening to music and trying to figure out what the lyrics mean.

And finally, I have been doing exercises and looking at the grammar. Moreover, on the internet there are thousand of websites, blogs… that help you to get better and I think that it is what really help me, so I recommend you for sure!

Tell me something as soon as possible! I can’t wait hearing from you.

Love, Ana.

And the things I have done to improve my English this week are doing all the exercises I can and reading books and magazines in English.
